Whats the best, a 4 or 5 day Learn to Scuba Dive Course?
I get asked this question all the time here at the old pickle factory and the answer is very simple. We specialise in orgainising all tours, reef cruises and accommodation in Cairns, however as a diver myself, I always look after Scuba Diving in Cairns and Cairns Learn to Dive patrons. I usually leave the annoying motel accommodation and rainforest bookings to the girls.
If you have spare time do the five day learn to dive course. You are only going to do this once, so make the most of it.
It’s like doing a dive course and dive trip in one.
With a four day course you’ll do four dives, which is the minimum requirement to qualify for your dive certificate. They will all be “learning dives”.
A 5 day course will mostly give you nine dives. Now the first 4 are learning dives but for the next five dives you are a qualified scuba diver. One of these usually is also a nighttime dive. Another advantage is that the dives will be with the other people from your dive course who have the same skill levels as you.
So the first dive cruise you do after finishing your course you will have already done 5 certified scubadives and be that little bit more skilled and confident.
Also the cost per dive is the lowest.
You may even choose to upgrade your scuba course into a 6 day learn to dive course and get an advanced qualification`scuba divers certification, but thats another post.
So I trust I’ve assisted all you prospective Scuba Divers out in internet land.
