Turtle Beach Mexican Surprises
Summer season is a really beautiful time. I was blessed enough to live a couple months in the Cancun, Mexico vicinity this summer season. It was definitely in all honesty a blessing to be there. I lived most of my stay in a small beach/jungle township named Tulum. Tulum is situated within the Riviera Maya about 90 miles south of Cancun and about forty miles from Playa Del Carmen. It’s a fairly straightforward cruise when you rent a car and stay on freeway 307 all of the way. You can even ride on the bus for a very affordable price. A taxi ride would not even be too outrageous either, but by taking the bus or renting a van or car you’d definitely be saving money. Easily, my most favorite feature about Tulum relates to the inhabitants. There are so many genuine people in Tulum, mainly the region’s Mayans and Mexicans who live there. Another great characteristic is the beaches. Tulum has some of the most amazing beaches within the globe. You probably did not know that at least one of the Corona commercials with the the guy and the girl sitting on the beach was recorded here. Yes, it really is as attractive as it looks on Television and yes, you must come down for a visit!
The first beach I traveled to right away moved to the summit of my best beach experiences list. I had by no means experienced anything like it, it was so perfect and peaceful . My acquaintances who are long term residents around here label it Turtle beach, but the official designation is Xcacel (esh-ca-sell). This is no more than a ten minute ride north of Tulum on freeway 307. Not surprisingly they labeled it turtle beach since should you visit at night in the early to mid summer you may actually have the chance to see actual live sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. However, you’ll definitely need to stay a good distance away from the turtle while this is in progress, because the last thing you want to do is scare the turtle. Avoid the use of any flashlights or lights because this may cause the turtle to panic or unnecessarily abandon the egg laying process. The best time is really when the moon and stars are shining their brightest.
There’s a chance you’ll get to see one of the more beautiful scenes you’ll ever see in nature if everything works out the way you want. One evening, I was lucky enough to see a live turtle laying eggs during my stay down here. It truly was a magical moment that all nature lovers should experience at least once.
During the day-time Turtle Beach is also an amazing place to visit. One of the first things you’ll notice about it is the small number of people there. Rarely, if ever, do they have more than 50-100 people in a 3/4 mile stretch of beach. It is so peaceable because of this. The turquoise blue water is also truly unique. The waves are almost non-existent and the water is 75-80 degrees which makes it so easy to play with the kids or float around with a beverage. All the large waves are broken up miles from shore because of the Coral Reef which dominates the coastline. If you’re a fan of scuba or snorkeling you’ll love the Coral Reef because of the amazing sea life you can observe relatively close to shore. If you love diving, you’ll be happy to know that there are many options for professional diving tours in this area of Tulum. I’m definitely planning on doing some scuba diving when I come back.
I hope that time is soon. The whole Yucatan is such a beautiful place, if you want to stay in Cancun or Playa del Carmen you’ll have a great time too. Hotels in the Yucatan, including Playa del Carmen hotels and resorts can be a great option for anyone looking to be around the big party crowds. Yet, you may find you’ll get a more personalized and affordable experience with a Tulum hotel. I have really fallen in love with Tulum and I will always recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing vacation. With all the amazing things like beaches, great food, resorts, hotels, and even Mayan ruins, you may find out Tulum is exactly the get-away you’re looking for.
